François foray into the trade show arena began in 1979, organizing French pavilions throughout the world for the French International Trade Administration (Centre Français du Commerce Extérieur) located in Paris, France. He later moved to the U.S. to lead the Industrial Division of E.J. Krause & Associates, worldwide leader in exhibition and conference management. True to his mission of helping North American companies succeed at overseas trade-show exhibiting, François founded Imex in 1987. He later established the French Chamber of Commerce of the Carolinas and has the distinction of Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France.
Executive Vice President
Julie brings many years of experience in international business-to-business Marketing and Communications to the Imex Management team. As the companys Creative Director and Senior Editor, she is closely involved in planning, developing and orchestrating marketing programs that target U.S. suppliers and buyers. Hailing from the Saatchi & Saatchi advertising network, Julie holds a business degree from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Paris, France, and is fluent in English and French.
Vice President, International Food & Beverage
During her more than twelve-year tenure with Imex, Kelly has truly refined the art of pavilion management. She is responsible for the U.S. participation in Imexs international Food and Beverage shows, including FOODEX JAPAN in Tokyo, and the SIAL series in Paris, Montreal, Shanghai, Sao Paolo and the Middle East. Honored as one of American Food and Ag Exporters Top 40 Under 40, Kelly holds a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Eric, who joined Imex in the summer of 2008, oversees exhibitor recruitment campaigns and procedures for all Imex shows. He is also directly responsible for developing exhibit sales for all food and beverage, equipment and machinery shows. A fluent Spanish speaker and avid globetrotter, Eric earned Bachelors degrees in Marketing and Communications from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and spent two years living abroad in Viña del Mar, Chile.
Marketing Communications Director
Part of the Imex team since 2007, Rebecca manages the promotional campaigns and marketing strategies for the U.S. visitor participation at SIAL Canada, SIAL Paris, SIMA and INTERMAT. She oversees all communication vehicles and creative materials for the company including exhibitor recruitment and pavilion promotion for the entire portfolio of shows. Rebecca graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
